GrosioTech ("we", "us", or "our") operates the GoMeGo mobile application. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and handle your information when you use our temporary live location and circle sharing service.
Key Principle: GoMeGo is built around temporary, auto-expiring sharing. Your live location is only accessible to members of active circles you explicitly create or join. When a circle expires (from 30 minutes to 2 hours), all real-time sharing stops immediately.
1. Information We Collect
- Location Information: We collect precise location data (GPS and network-based) to enable real-time map location sharing among circle members. This includes foreground and background location updates when an active circle is running.
- Display Name: We store a user-provided display name (e.g. "John") to identify you to other members within your circles.
- Device Identifiers: We collect basic device metadata and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens to deliver push notifications (such as circle invitations and expiration alerts).
2. How We Use Your Information
- To share your real-time position on the map with authorized members of your active circle.
- To notify you when friends join, update profiles, or when a circle is about to expire.
- To maintain service security, prevent abuse, and enforce session integrity.
3. Location Data Handling & Background Access
GoMeGo requests background location permission (ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION) solely to keep your marker updated on your friends' maps while your phone screen is off or when using other apps during an active circle session.
Background location collection ONLY occurs while an active circle is running. Once a circle ends or expires, background location tracking terminates immediately.
4. Data Storage, Retention & Expiration
- Real-time location coordinates are stored transiently in high-speed, encrypted memory and automatically expire when the circle ends.
- All communications between the mobile app and our servers are transmitted using industry-standard TLS / SSL encryption.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal location data to third parties or advertising networks.
5. User Rights & Account Deletion
You can delete your user profile and associated data directly within the GoMeGo app settings at any time, or request manual data removal by contacting our support team.
